13.09.2017 Book launch Home Reassembled. On Art, Destruction & Belonging
This autumn, the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux and publishing house Jap Sam Books will launch their joint essay collection Home Reassembled. On Art, Destruction & Belonging. The book comments on the many dimensions of the Mobile Home(less) project. The starting point for the book’s texts are different interpretations of sculptor Anssi Pulkkinen’s new contemporary artwork that deals with homelessness, Street View (Reassembled). Pulkkinen’s challenging and topical installation composed of ruins is the thread that draws the book’s different and diverse texts together thematically.
The essay collection Home Reassembled – On Art, Destruction & Belonging will be launched at the Habitare expo in Helsinki on September 13th, 2017. Anssi Pulkkinen’s artwork Street View (Reassembled) will also be on display in Finland for the first time at Habitare. Habitare 2017 discusses the concept of home from the points of view of homelessness and refuge hood. 'Tomorrow’s home' is the theme of Finland’s largest interior decoration, design and furniture event from 13 -17 September 2017.
