Looking Back | Book launch 'Sudah_ On heritage, art, cooking, and family'

On 21 June Sudah_ On heritage, art, cooking, and family launched during a festive afternoon with stories, music, and food. SUDAH_ is a book, a podcast, and a digital platform—but it is first and foremost an invitation to listen, to recognize, and to hold on to things of value. Meaning something like ‘never mind’ or ‘things are good the way they are’, in this project the concept of Sudah has become a loving counter movement: a plea to not ignore you heritage, but instead honour it—in scent, taste, image, and memory.

Visual artist Simon Wald-Lasowski explored the apartment and captured it in a photo series filled with tender compositions and personal vistas. In a two-part essay, writer Maurits de Bruijn examines not only the boundaries of what it means to be an artist, but also themes of queerness, visibility, care, and the transience of things and memories.

In Memoriam - Peter Svenson (1956-2025)

On Thursday 3 July, photographer Peter Svenson passed away. Over the past few years, we had the opportunity to work with Peter and Arja Hop on the creation of the special, awardwinning photo book Felwa, which was published by Jap Sam Books in 2024. This project resulted in the exhibition 'Felwa - Natuur in transititie', which is currently on display at the Coda Museum in Apeldoorn.
