Jap Sam Books is honoured to announce our collaboration with SIxtyEight Art Institute and Really Simple Syndicate press. Together with Denisa Tomkova, curator and research fellow from SixtyEight Art Institute (Copenhagen, DK) we curated a bookshop and an exhibition.

On the occasion of the release of Rody Luton's new publication Rody Luton. The Encircled there will be an exhibition at puntWG in Amsterdam. New paintings and photo works of the artist will be on show between December 2nd and December 5th.

Over a hundred publishers and makers from The Netherlands and Belgium sell on Saturday December 4th and Sunday December 5th art books, literary masterpieces, poetry collections, unique (paper) objects and much more in Paradiso.

The crowdfunding for the book project artist Arjan van Helmond is working on is live! There are 28 days left for the crowdfunding and 73% of the goal is reached! Help Arjan van Helmond to reach his goal to make this publication. 

November 11th opens the No Seat At The Table Exhibition at Podium Mozaïek in Amsterdam. Minem Sezgin will open the exhibition and gives an introduction about No Seat At The Table.

November 13th opens the the Prix de Rome 2021 exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum. The four nominated artists, Mercedes Azpilicueta, Alexis Blake, Silvia Martes and Coralie Vogelaar will present new work that they have made especially for the exhibition.

This week during the Dutch Media Week, Professor Ben Schouten gave a media lecture on play and games in the context of 70 years of television in the Netherlands. He also paid attention to the publication Play for Empowerment. The New Role of Play in Society, which will be published by Jap Sam Books in 2022.
