Jap Sam Books and Monika Auch are pleased to invite you to the TOLHUIS in Amsterdam on February 4th for the launch of Stitch Your Brain. A unique hybrid project at the intersection of art and science by artist Monika Auch, with a stunning design by Studio Joost Grootens.

One of our latest publications [UN]FINISHED: Atlas of Athens' Incomplete Buildings - A Story of Hidden Antimonuments will be presented during the first edition of Omnibus, a new series of book events at the Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam. In each edition, presentation and talk will highlight two new publications. We are excited to be part of this evening!

Our recent publication Fugitive Archives: A Sourcebook for Centering Africa in Histories of Architecture has been included in this years January issue of Domus, a classic Architecture & Design magazine from Italy.

Today, we close our doors here in the office in Prinsenbeek. It’s been a rollercoaster this year. 37 books in total (one came from the printer this week and one is still at the printer). It was a special year also because of so many wonderful collaborations.

December 14th we had a jam packed launch of The File on D. / Dossier D. by Arianne Olthaar in The Hague. This fold-out book of photographs of hotel interiors in the former Eastern Bloc by visual artist Arianne Olthaar, challenges the imagination to create its own space and story while wandering through the cinematic empty spaces. Dutch writer Arnon Grunberg, inspired by the photographs, wrote a short story for the book. Book design by Studio Janneke Hendriks.

Mid December we had a wonderful launch of ‘Six impossible things before breakfast’ by Ingrid De Coster in Brussels at The Green Corridor Books x Brussels, hosted as an Open Books event.

At the beginning of this month we had an incredible and busy day at DRUK book fair at Paradiso in Amsterdam, thank you for everyone who came by!

Mid-November we had a wonderful intimate launch of the new publication by Rob Perrée, available in a Dutch and English edition: A Black Collage / Een zwarte collage. This special, festive book launch took place at Kunsthal KAdE with an inspiring lecture by essayist Stephan Sanders and a musical contribution by singer Luyi and ud player Nawras Altaky, and a welcome word by publisher/editor Eleonoor Jap Sam and KAdE director Robbert Roos.
