The nominees for the Black Achievement Awards 2022 have been announced! The Black Achievement Awards Ceremony took place on October 31st in the DeLaMar Theatre in Amsterdam.

Eleonoor Jap Sam, founder and editor of Jap Sam Books has been nominated in the entrepreneurship category. 

VPRO Tegenlicht made a documentary about Marjan van Aubels mission towards a bright future, showing all the unused possibilties of the sun.

Wednesday October 26th Ruta Butkute and Emliy Kocken will present a reading video performance of their publication How To Make Sculpture Move followed by a Q&A with the authors.

As Above, So Below documents twenty-one works made by Amsterdam-based artist, Ruchama Noorda over a twenty-year period. With O-Town House serving as Noorda's temporary time-space PORTAL (an installation adapted especially for the rooms at O-Town House), Noorda and California-based art and cultural critic Dick Hebdige will talk about the publication and the collaborative process that lay behind it.

Jap Sam Books will attend the Tokyo Art Book Fair 2022! From October 27th to October 30th you will be able to visit our booth in the entrance hall of the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. 

The Frankfurter Buchmesse 2022 takes place from October 19th to October 23rd, so the fair is in full swing as we speak. Jap Sam Books is of course present, you can find us in hall 3.1, booth J139!

RAABJERG got launched earlier this year in spring and just got updated with some great photos by The Book Photographer. Rune Peitersen participates in the upcoming exhibition of the Performing Objects project. As part of the public programme of the project, Rune Peitersen will give a presentation on his publication. Followed by a conversation between him and the designer of the book, Edwin van Gelder.

The Book Photographer shot an amazing photo series of Solar Futures, a newly launched publication by award-winning solar designer Marjan van Aubel.
