Jap Sam Books, patricia kaersenhout, designer Eva van der Schans (Inedition), and Bonnefanten are proud to announce the launch of a fundamental monograph exploring patricia kaersenhout's artistic practice and oeuvre over the years, simultaneously with kaersenhout's solo exhibition (10.06.23-05.11.23) at Bonnefanten in Maastricht.

Jap Sam Books will be part of the book fair on June 15th 2023 at VU Amsterdam for the Day of Writing & Publishing! Gloria will be present at our table with a great selection of our publications from 2PM until 6PM.

As we speak, The Best Dutch Book Designs 2021 are on display in an exhibition at the Shanghai Art Book Fair 2023, and closer to home at GRID Groningen! Our publication Rollable Ramblings. Koen Taselaar is part of these special exhibitions. Published by Jap Sam Books, initiated by Block C Groningen, design by Team Thursday, and Printed by Zwaan Lenoir.

Friday April 14th, together with Popma ter Steege we presented the new publication: Reuse to Reduce. Architecture within a Carbon Budget. The Case of BioPartner 5 - Popma ter Steege Architects. In this post we share imagery of the evening as well as a beautiful series of photos of the publication by The Book Photographer.

On Sunday May 21st, we launched the new book TOUCH by artist Caren van Herwaarden at Museum De Pont in Tilburg. The event started with a performance by Nishant Bhola, and talks by Caren van Herwaarden, Eleonoor Jap Sam, and graphic designer Ruud Willems. The first copy of the book was given to artist Arno Kramer.

We are excited to announce the nomination the Prix Bob Calle 2023 of jaune, geel, gelb, yellow. Monochrome by artist Antonis Pittas, designed by Alex Farrar! Publisher Eleonoor Jap Sam, and artist Antonis Pittas will attend the prize ceremony on June 8th in Paris. This award has been created to show and celebrate the particular art form that is the artist's book, and to help its recognition and international influence.

The Libres Model 2023 edition, curated by Ethel Baraona Phol took place from April 20th to 30th. The festival is organized by Barcelona City Council and the Architect's Association of Catalonia (COAC) and it is being run through the Fundció Mies van der Rohe.
